General Terms

  • Images will be delivered within 3  working days of completion of the survey.
  • The customer does not need to be at the property when the survey is undertaken, however, they must have undertaken the following on or before the survey begins. Should any of the following not have been done and as a result that prevents the completion of the survey, then the full survey price is due:

  1. Ensure that the front and rear of the property are accessible.
  2. Ensure any animals are inside the house and cannot escape and interfere with the surveyor.
  3. Advise neighbours of the survey so that they are not alarmed by the surveyor accessing your external property or the drone overhead. Assure neighbours that the field of view of the images taken will be restricted to your roof, and there is no cause for privacy concerns.
  4. Ensure that the surveyor is not distracted while the survey is being undertaken, particularly when the drone is in the air. This is a legal and insurance requirement.

  • Once the date of a survey is agreed, the customer is liable for a fee of £10 to subsequently change that date or £25 for cancellation of the survey altogether.
  • The Optional Software Review service can highlight geometric anomalies. Ommissions, misinterpretations and false positives are possible. Dropter accepts no liability for any/all remedial actions resulting from the output of the software, or the survey itself, nor is it ever implied that they do. Dropter warrants that the survey images are  an accurate visual representation of the roof on the day and time of the survey. The customer must always undertake self-assessment of the high-definition images provided from the survey and liabilities for any/all remedial work undertaken are entirely with the customer.
  • Payment is due upon delivery of the agreed deliverables or, can be made in cash on the day of the survey.
